NewDays Abroad started from a simple frustration: when you're seriously researching a move to another country, the information you find is either outdated, scattered across a dozen forums, or buried behind a paywall. We decided to fix that.
One person, one spreadsheet, one very long research rabbit hole.
It started the way most good things do — out of necessity. Researching a move abroad meant spending weeks piecing together information from Reddit threads, government websites in foreign languages, outdated blog posts, and YouTube videos of varying quality.
The spreadsheet grew. The notes grew. And eventually it became clear: this information, properly organised and kept up to date, could save thousands of people an enormous amount of time and stress.
So we built NewDays Abroad. Not as a business first, but as the resource we needed and couldn't find. A place where someone seriously considering a move to Portugal, Germany, Spain, or Albania could get clear, honest, current information — all in one place, completely free.
